Slayde Steven Hatch
He's here!!!! Slayde was born on February 5, 2013 at 2:06am. He weighed in at a whopping 8LBS 12OZ and was 19 inches long. He was so cute and chunky when he came out and had rolls everywhere. Thank heavens Dr. Dewey started me a week early or he would of been 10LBS. I went to my doctors appointment around 10am monday morning and he told me he wanted me down at the hospital around 2 that afternoon. I think both Dr. Dewey and I were hoping he'd come faster than he did but unfortunately it was a long 12 hours. Poor baby boy had a rough time coming into this world, he was turned sideways and was stuck. Dr. Dewey had to use the foreceps to help get him out. His head and forehead was one big black and blue bruise, it was so sad. Steve and I have fought and fought over what to name baby boy Hatch. I wanted to name him Steehl even before I was pregnant and Steve liked it for a little while but he fell inlove with Slayde. Even the nurses voted on Steehl since you were so big. I gave in and told Steve he could pick the name as long as I got to spell it (he liked Slade.) We ended up staying an extra day in the hospital because his juandice was so bad. Lets just say Hallie was super excited when we brought him home, she can't get enough of him and she is the BIGGEST helper. If he can survive his big sister he is going to be one tough little boy. He has been the best baby so far, only crying when he's hungry or being changed. Hopefully he says that way and isn't like baby Hallie. No words can descibe how much we love him, we feel so blessed to have to healthy, beautiful kids.
